Larry passed away on July 26th, 2007. He was 40 years old and left us entirely too soon. He was the son of Sharon Collins and of the late Fred Collins. He will be mourned by: his mother Sharon, sisters Linda Collins Batista Grodin and Lorna Collins, Linda’s husband Howard Grodin, niece Jessica Batista, nephews Nicholas Batista and Daniel and Ryan Swanick. He will be greatly missed by:

LeAnn (current beloved partner for eight years), Lela, Marty, Scott, Mike, Dean, Kevin, Russ, Brian and me John to name a few. He will be missed for his vast amount of general knowledge, his love of music, his extensive computer skills and his intense yet childlike ways. These are a few of his passionate pursuits and humanitarian traits. He grew up in San Leandro, CA and graduated from San Leandro High School in 1985. He went to Chabot City College in Hayward, CA (where his father taught Computer Science Courses) for two years. After that, Larry moved on to receive his Bachelor of Art in Economics from the University of  California at Santa Cruz. He shared an apartment with his longest known friend Marty. Larry moved to Hawaii shortly after receiving his BA degree, where he then received his Master of Science in Information Systems from the Hawaii Pacific University in 1996.

A private memorial service had been held at Martin’s Beach in Half Moon Bay; approximately 60 people attended this memorial service.

In loving memory of you, may God renew your spirit and comfort your soul.
